Three humidity-holding coconut-fibre bricks for less handling and fewer reorders. This Eco Tech Jungle Coco Peat value pack contains three 650 gm compressed bricks of coconut shell fibre, each expanding to up to 10 litres of soft, absorbent substrate – enough coconut peat on hand for a full enclosure refresh or several smaller top-ups.

- 100% coconut shell peat fibre – a natural, renewable material with no added salt, chemicals or oils.
- Bacteria resistant – helps discourage mites and stop odours building up in the substrate.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for tropical and humid-terrarium reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and burrowing species that benefit from a moisture-holding substrate.
- Not suitable as the only substrate for dry, arid-species enclosures, where a lower-humidity substrate is a better fit.
Care and maintenance
Soak each brick in water for around 24 hours, or until fully expanded, then drain off the excess water before adding it to the enclosure. Fluff and re-moisten to maintain humidity, spot-clean waste as you see it, and expand the remaining bricks only as you need them. Replace fully every few months, or sooner if it develops mould or a persistent smell.
Goes well with
- A hygrometer, to confirm the enclosure is holding the humidity the substrate is chosen for.
- Leaf litter or sphagnum moss, layered on top for a more naturalistic finish.
- A misting bottle or automatic mister, to keep humidity stable between top-ups.
Warranty and delivery

Common questions
How much substrate does the pack make in total?
Up to 30 litres once all three bricks are fully expanded – around 10 litres per brick.
Do I need to expand all three bricks at once?
No. Expand one brick at a time and keep the rest dry in storage until you need them.
Does it need rinsing before use?
No rinsing is required. Soak until it breaks apart and expands, then drain the excess water before adding it to the enclosure.
Will it help control mites and odour?
The coconut fibre is naturally bacteria resistant, which helps discourage mites and stop odours building up, though it isn't a substitute for regular spot-cleaning.
