Description
The All-New Fluval Betta Premium Aquarium Kit is designed to replicate the natural tropical habitats of B. splendens and comes equipped with custom filtration, natural soft glow LED lighting, and a convenient pre-set heater. Though wild B. splendens can be found in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand, the stunning specimens we often see in captivity today are the result of selective breeding combining a variety of species. In Southeast Asia, B. splendens are typically found in rice paddies, ponds, and small streams, which tend to be shallow, slow-moving, quite warm, and dense in vegetation.
CUSTOM BETTA FILTRATION
In the wild, Bettas inhabit slow, gentle moving bodies of water. Captive-bred varieties typically possess extravagant, flowing finnage and as such are poor swimmers. Therefore, the need for gentle, diffused water movement is extremely important.

B. splendens are typically found in habitats naturally dense with vegetation. These bodies of water are extremely clean as they are extensively filtered by the plants. As a result, both wild and captive-bred Betta splendens prefer very well-filtered environments.

PRE-SET BETTA HEATER
As B. splendens live in tropical climates in the wild, recreating warmer temperatures for domestic varieties is important. If not kept warm enough, specimens can become less active, lose their appetite and fall ill. Bettas typically thrive in a temperature range of 25-27°C. Fluval 10W P Series heater consistently maintains ideal water temperature to replicate a Betta’s natural tropical habitat 26°C. Fully integrated within rear chamber compartment for a seamless look. NATURAL SOFT-GLOW LIGHTING
In the wild, the habitats of Betta splendens are often covered in floating plants and emergent vegetation that help to diffuse natural sunlight. In captivity, they prefer to be kept under soft, subdued lighting. Doing so helps to make them feel more comfortable, makes their colors stand out better and provides a more natural aesthetic look to the aquarium. Dispatch times are generally 24-48 hours after an order is processed and packed (special order items may take up to 7 days to be dispatched from the store or warehouse). The freight company cannot deliver to Australia Post-owned buildings - post offices, PO boxes, locked bags, parcel lockers, or parcel collect locations.
Livestock sent with road freight are only shipped on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to ensure they are delivered before the weekend. Air freight orders are sent on Thursday nights only for pick-up on Friday mornings unless other arrangements have been made. (Note: Livestock cannot be sent with Australia Post.)
